Outstanding Industrial Relations” 2015-16

You may be aware, the ‘All India Organisation of Employers (AIOE)’, has been giving an annual award to a company for its contribution to maintain a sound track record of Industrial Relations.

This prestigious award is an acknowledgement of the organization’s effort for adopting innovative methods to foster harmonious Industrial relations and a conducive work environment during past 5 years. The award is adjudged by a jury comprising of members from recognized background. Many of the past award winner were nominated by member associations.

The Award will be presented on the occasion of the Annual General Meeting of AIOE to be held in 2017. Generally, it has been a practice that Hon’ble Labour Minister inaugurates the AGM.

The process will be a 2-tier selection process 1. Shortlisted nominees in your region will be required to make their presentation at the regional level out of which 4 nominees will be shortlisted.  2. The 4 shortlisted nominees at regional level will have an opportunity to compete for the award at the National Level in Delhi.

Workshop on
Absenteeism: Its Causes, Consequences and Strategies to Curb It
March 3, 2017, FICCI, New Delhi
As you are aware, absenteeism at the workplace accounts for loss of production and profits in any enterprise, and habitual absenteeism affects working morale of the employees.

Keeping in view this fact and to share strategic approached to curb absenteeism the All India Organisation of Employers (AIOE) supported by International Labour Organisation (ILO) conducted a study on absenteeism in enterprises, its cause and consequences, and the strategies mooted by the organisation to check it.

To share the findings of the study with industry/enterprises, a workshop on the subject is being organized on March 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at FICCI, Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.

We request you to kindly nominate suitable participants from your organization to attend the workshop and benefit by the deliberations.

We would also like to inform you that there will be a slot for enterprises to share the current situation of absenteeism in their organisation, reasons behind it and strategic approach they have taken to curb it. It may be by an oral address or presentation. If interested, you may kindly inform us to reserve a speaking slot for your representative.

To defray the expenses of the workshop, we are charging a participation fee of Rs. 2000 per participant. The nomination may be sent in the enclosed proforma along with the cheque /DD in favour of the All India Organisation of Employers.

Since, the seats are limited and will be based on first cum first serve; you are requested to send your nomination at the earliest but not later than Feb 25, 2017.

The All India Organisation of Employers’ (AIOE) has instituted an annual award to felicitate organisations having outstanding contribution in the field of industrial relations. The Award, is open to member companies, is given for innovative work done in the field of industrial relations.

The concept of Outstanding - Industrial Relations include innovative approaches to foster harmonious industrial relations through bipartite mechanism, reducing conflicts and Mandays lost and promoting employees welfare and development avenues, contributing to higher motivation, morale and productivity improvement. The quality of industrial relations climate or environment in the workplace and area in which an establishment operates, is also a deciding factor while judging the performance.


The Award is a plaque with suitable citation. It is presented every year at the Annual General Meeting of the organisation.
