The All India Organisation of Employers’ (AIOE), an allied body of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), is the oldest and apex national employers’ organisation of India. It is the platform for Indian industries to raise their voice in formulating labour and social policies to promote business, trade and industry in the country.
AIOE was setup in 1932, by eminent Indian industrialist and philanthropist of yesteryears with the objective to serve the cause of Indian enterprises by promoting sound industrial relations and better understanding between employers and workers on the mutuality of interests and provide representation to Indian employers in the tripartite setup of Government to draw labour and social policies.
Late Shri. G D Birla, Shri. Kasturbhai Lalbhai, Rai Bahadur G M Modi, Sir Shri Ram were some of the eminent Indian business personalities, who have been the illustrious Presidents of the organisation.

To take all steps which may be necessary for promoting, supporting or opposing legislative and other measures affecting or likely to affect directly or indirectly the interest of industry, trade and commerce in general, or particular interest.

To secure, wherever possible, organised and or concerted action on all subjects involving the interest of Members including regulating conditions of employment of labour in industry, trade and commerce represented by the Member of the Organisation.

To take such action as may be called for or as may be practicable, in all labour disputes affecting industry, trade and commerce represented by the Members.

To promote and protect the interest of employers engaged in industry, trade and commerce through Staff training and development in the areas of IR, HR, Health and Safety, Social Security etc.

To advise employers on labour matters, to assist them in the settlement of labour disputes and to represent and arrange for the representation of employers in any proceedings before the Conciliation Office, Conciliation Boards, Courts of Enquiry, Industrial Courts, Industrial Tribunals, Labour Appellate Tribunal or any Court or other judicial and quasi-judicial body.
